F1 Cars Delivery & Performance
- Attend the factory, race and events as required.
- Assemble and disassemble race cars and components as required, ensuring they are built to the agreed standards and that any discrepancies have been highlighted and agreed.
- Ensure car build is to the technical specifications and deadlines required.
- Ensure that all assemblies are built following the build procedure and that build checklists are completed and visible for inspection. Where any issues or faults are identified these should be discussed with the Car Team Leader or Chief Mechanic. Ensure all faults/problems encountered are accurately reported and followed up as appropriate.
- Proactively support others within the Race Team at the track or Operations staff at Grove where required.
Pit Crew Performance
- Continuously seek to deliver consistent, fast Pit Stops and to drive Pit Stop Performance.
- To take part in race pit stops and associated training programs.
Brand Management
- Ensure your behaviour and conduct on and off the track represents Williams Racing in a professional manner at all times and is in accordance with the Williams Standards and Race Team Travelling Handbook.
- Maintain high standard of personal and department presentation, as appropriate for a showcase facility visited by potential sponsors and other VIPs.
Communication
- Ensure the Car Team Leader is regularly briefed ensuring a spirit of two-way communication and continuously seek ways to improve team and personal performance. Also foster a positive relationship with Engineering Coordination and factory operations, driving a spirit of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Be a positive role model and ambassador for the Race Team and strive to build a strong working relationship between the factory and track
Health & Safety
- To ensure that you are aware of risk assessments that are in place and adhere to PPE along with any safety measures that are required.
- Ensure the reporting of any incidents, including near misses in a timely manner.
- Always ensure that you take care of your health and safety and that of others by complying with health and safety obligations, particularly by reporting promptly any defects, risks or potential hazards. Ensure you are aware of the Company Health and safety requirements and policy.
Participate in the preparation, build and disassembly of race cars and subcomponents, to the required specification adhering to the appropriate drawings and procedures. Ensuring that all work complies to the stringent design and specification requirements.
