From concept to chequered flag

Spend five days exploring the world of Formula 1 engineering. From the ideas and theory behind the car, to how it is built, tested and ultimately performs on track. You will meet our experts and hear how they bring their work to life, make real impact, and help create our winning formula.

Each day will be different. You might see the factory floor in action, learn how engineers collaborate across the business, take on a pit stop challenge, or compete against other students on our esports simulators.

For 2026 the programme will runs from 9:30am to 5:00pm. Over five days, you’ll get exclusive behind the scenes access to the Atlassian Williams F1 Team, following how an idea becomes a race ready car through to real world performance.

I'm at university, can I do work experience or a project?

We’re excited to announce that our Work Experience Programme is now open to first-year university students, giving you the chance to bring your engineering studies to life and start to shape your future in Formula 1.

Students in Year 10 to Year 13 (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply. Due to the structure of the programme, participants are typically aged 15–19.

If you are beyond your first year of university, we encourage you to explore our industrial placement or graduate opportunities instead.

The Atlassian Williams F1 Team Work Experience Programme is an unpaid opportunity. All other Early Careers roles are paid, with salaries discussed at offer stage.

The programme takes place onsite at our Grove, Oxfordshire headquarters, and participants are expected to attend 9:30am to 5:00pm each day. You can travel by car or use local bus routes from Didcot or Oxford.

What should I include in my application video?

We want to understand what drives you. This is your chance to take us on a lap of your story – who you are, what sparked your interest in engineering, and why you see your future with the Atlassian Williams F1 Team.

Our programme is highly competitive, so bring your personality and creativity. Show us what makes you curious about engineering and what you enjoy building, learning or exploring. This could be anything from a part-time job, STEM projects, or volunteering, to coding, fixing bikes, rebuilding cars, or solving problems just because you enjoy it.
