Our hiring process
1
Application
Your journey starts here. Apply now via the Atlassian Williams F1 Team careers website, making sure to upload an up-to-date CV and a tailored cover letter that highlights your passion and potential. You can apply to a maximum of 2 roles per department. Make sure you do your research and choose wisely. Make every application count.
2
Testing
Time to show off your skills. You’ll be invited to complete an online assessment designed to evaluate your capabilities, just like qualifying before race day. To perform at your best, ensure you're in a quiet environment with a stable internet connection. Each application requires a separate assessment, though similar tests may allow previous results to be reused effectively.
3
Group Interview
This stage gives you the chance to show how you contribute to a team, communicate under pressure, and work together to reach a shared mission. You’ll be invited to an online group task giving you the opportunity to meet the Early Careers team. Show us why you are podium ready.
4
Online Competency Interview
If successful in the Online Group Task, you'll have the opportunity to progress to an online competency interview, where we can learn more about your technical skills, strengths, and what excites you about the role. You'll also have the chance to discuss your experiences, aspirations, and achievements today too.
5
Meet the Team
If there’s a match, you’ll be invited to our headquarters in Grove, Oxfordshire, the home of Atlassian Williams F1 Team. This is your chance to meet your potential manager, explore our facilities, and take a look behind the scenes of a Formula 1 team. Full details will be shared ahead of time to help you prepare for your visit.
6
Join the mission
Every new team member brings us one step closer to championship glory. After your assessment centre, we’ll update you on the outcome and guide you through the next stage of your journey with Atlassian Williams F1 Team. We’re committed to making the transition smooth, seamless, and as exciting as race day.
Early Careers Awards Ceremony
Our Early Careers employees are integral to our success at Williams F1 Team. To reward the hard work and success of our cohorts, each year we host the ‘Early Careers Awards’, a chance to celebrate and enjoy time with peers and friends.
Ask & Learn
'Ask as many questions as you need to, everyone at Williams wants to help you learn. Come ready to show you can move quickly; the pace of innovation is real, so embrace it rather than wait to feel fully prepared.'
Katie Kilroy
Graduate Aerodynamic R&D Design Engineer
Belong & Grow
'My placement made it clear I wanted to come back as a graduate. I saw real potential to keep growing here while helping push the team back to the front of the grid. There's a warm atmosphere too - a genuine sense of belonging that keeps you motivated.'
Laurence Vines
Graduate Design Engineer - Structures
Curious & Ready
'Talk to people who've done a graduate scheme or work in F1. It'll help you understand what the role's really like and give you confidence going into the process. Focus on what makes you stand out as a person too. Your skills matter, but so does your curiosity and willingness to learn. You don't need to know everything on day one.'
Natalia Heirman
Graduate Business Associate
