We're looking for a skilled and driven Garage Support Electrician to join our Race Team. You'll play a vital role in preparing, building, and maintaining our trackside and factory-based garage and pit equipment, ensuring we meet the required specifications - all while maintaining Williams' presentational standards.
The Garage Support Electrician, you will have the opportunity to apply your electrical expertise and skills in one of the most exciting environments on earth: Formula 1.
In this role, you will attend between 10 and 19 races so will you will need to be willing and able to travel extensively, ensuring our garage is set up to the required standard ahead of a race event and packed down again with precision and efficiency. You'll be proactively collaborating with different departments to report faults and ensure solutions are implemented in a timely manner and will also play a pivotal role in team Pit Stops and driving performance wherever possible as part of this process.
What you'll do:
- Attend Williams' UK sites, race and other Formula 1 events as required.
- Carry out the preparation, loading / unloading, build and disassembly of event equipment.
- Install, test, and maintain garage systems, including electrical systems and equipment, across our event garage and pit lane setups.
- Ensure all wiring and systems meet the highest safety and technical standards
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults under time-critical conditions, both trackside and at HQ in Grove.
- Help to identify ways to improve Team operational performance.
- To take part in race pit stops and associated training programs.
What you bring:
- A recognised electrical qualification with demonstrable hands-on experience.
- Proven ability to work with power distribution, lighting systems, and electrical safety practices.
- A problem-solving mindset and an ability to stay calm under pressure
- A willingness to travel globally and work in high-intensity environments, including weekends and irregular hours.
- A team-first attitude and an ability to communicate efficiently and concisely, building relationships with people across different departments within the team.
Bonus points for:
- Experience in loading and securing valuable freight by land, sea and air or having existing Known Consignor authorisation.
- Previous motorsport experience as a garage electrician.

Please note, due to the nature of this role, candidates must not have any criminal convictions. Background checks will be carried out for the successful person to ensure we comply with the CAA's security requirements. You'll also be required to travel extensively, meaning a requirement to work flexibly across often unsociable hours.
