Williams Racing is looking for a Product Owner to join our Vehicle Performance & Dynamics department, someone who thrives working with people, technology, and performance.

This is a highly collaborative, socially engaged role where you’ll work closely with engineers, performance specialists, and the Technology & Innovation Group (TIG) to help shape the tools and platforms that drive our competitive edge on track. You’ll get to know teams across the business, understand their needs, and translate those insights into high-impact technical solutions.

We’re looking for someone who communicates clearly, builds trust naturally, and is curious enough to dig beneath the surface to uncover what will really move the needle. You’ll need to be confident prioritising what matters most, understanding the importance of time and the value each improvement could deliver to car performance.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the technical development, optimisation, and administration of platforms used across the Vehicle Performance & Dynamics department.
  • Acting as the vital link between Vehicle Performance & Dynamics and TIG, ensuring technology development aligns with real operational needs.
  • Building and maintaining a clear map of current processes and future ambitions for the department.
  • Capturing capability gaps from stakeholders and turning them into well-defined product requirements that can be sized, prioritised, and actioned.
  • Communicating progress, priorities, and delivery timelines to both TIG and the wider business.
  • Representing the voice of the business inside TIG to ensure solutions genuinely address vehicle performance and operational needs.
  • Leading feature releases, feedback loops, and improvement cycles.
  • Collaborating with fellow Product Owners to identify and deliver cross-functional requirements efficiently.
  • Acting as the go-to contact for product issues, optimisation ideas, and new requests.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience owning products in a complex, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect with a wide variety of people across the business.
  • A naturally social, inquisitive, and proactive approach—comfortable spending time with users to understand what they do and how technology can support them.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and identify what will have the biggest impact for the business.
  • Experience in business analysis and requirement-gathering.
  • Demonstrable project management skills.
  • Understanding of modern software development environments (Kubernetes, cloud technologies, modern data strategies).
  • Experience or good understanding of real-time data streaming.
  • Familiarity with an F1 team’s vehicle performance and dynamics technology needs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues methodically and work autonomously within a strategic framework.
  • Good understanding of end-to-end manufacturing processes and the broader IT landscape.
  • Knowledge of testing and quality assurance methods.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trust quickly.

Desirable

  • CSPO or other formal product ownership qualification
  • Experience with Agile methods
