Be the bridge between business and technology at one of F1's most iconic teams.
Atlassian Williams F1 Racing Team is looking for an experienced Product Owner to join our Technology and Innovation Group (TIG). In this role, you'll be the critical link between our Business Services functions — HR, Finance, Cost Engineering, Legal, and Marketing — and the technology teams who build and maintain the platforms that power them.
If you're a natural communicator with a sharp analytical mind and a passion for turning complex business challenges into elegant technology solutions, this could be the role for you.
The Role
As Product Owner for Business Services, you'll own the technology roadmap for a range of platforms serving our internal business functions. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders to understand how they operate today and where they want to get to, then translate that into clear, actionable product definitions that our technology teams can deliver against. You'll also ensure the wider business always has visibility of what's being built, what's coming next, and when.
What you'll be doing
- Building and maintaining a clear picture of how HR, Finance, and Marketing functions operate today and where they're heading
- Capturing capability gaps from key stakeholders and turning them into well-defined product requirements that can be sized, prioritised, and actioned
- Keeping communication flowing — within TIG and to the wider business — on progress, priorities, and delivery timelines
- Acting as the voice of the business in TIG discussions, ensuring technology development stays aligned with real operational needs
- Leading feature releases and managing all associated communication and feedback processes
- Collaborating across the product ownership team to identify and efficiently deliver cross-functional requirements
- Serving as the go-to point of contact for stakeholders on product issues, optimisation ideas, and new requirements
For almost 50 years, Atlassian Williams F1 Racing Team has been at the forefront of one of the fastest sports on the planet, being one of the top three most successful teams in history competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship. With an almost unrivalled heritage of engineering and racing F1 cars and unforgettable eras that demonstrate it is a force to be reckoned with, the British squad boasts 16 F1 World Championship titles to its name.
Since its foundation in 1977 by the eminent, late Sir Frank Williams and engineering pioneer Sir Patrick Head, the team has won nine Constructors’ Championships, in association with Cosworth, Honda and Renault. Its roll call of drivers is legendary, with its seven Drivers’ Championship trophies being lifted by true icons of the sport: Alan Jones, Keke Rosberg, Nelson Piquet, Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost, Damon Hill and Jacques Villeneuve. The team has made history before and is out to make it again with a long-term mission to evolve and return to the front of the grid.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience owning products in a complex, multidisciplinary environment
- A formal product ownership qualification such as CSPO is preferred
- Experience working within agile development environments
- A solid understanding of end-to-end HR, Finance, and Marketing processes
- Familiarity with modern software development environments, including cloud technologies and enterprise systems such as ERP and HR platforms
- A background in business analysis, including requirements gathering and quality assurance
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- The ability to work autonomously within a broader strategic framework, with the initiative to troubleshoot and problem-solve beyond your immediate area of expertise
